Neocloud Providers
What a Neocloud Is, the Providers Compared, and GPU Pricing Against the Hyperscalers
Neoclouds rent the same NVIDIA GPUs as the hyperscalers, often for half the price, but availability and terms vary widely. We get your requirement quoted across the neoclouds that fit.
Price My GPU RequirementA neocloud is a cloud provider built specifically to rent GPU compute for AI training and inference, rather than the broad menu of services a hyperscaler like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud sells. Neocloud providers generated more than $25 billion in revenue in 2025, and Synergy Research forecasts the category will reach about $180 billion by 2030. The largest are CoreWeave, Nebius, Lambda and Crusoe, followed by a long list of emerging GPU clouds. For a buyer, the reason to look at them is price and access: the same NVIDIA H100 that rents for a median of about $3.25 an hour on specialist clouds costs roughly double at a hyperscaler, and the newest Blackwell GPUs often reach neoclouds first. The catch is that availability, contract terms and support differ far more between neoclouds than between hyperscalers, which is why the same requirement should be quoted across several at once.

What Is a Neocloud? Neocloud vs Hyperscaler
A neocloud rents GPUs; a hyperscaler rents everything, GPUs included. Here is what that difference means for a buyer.
| Neocloud | Hyperscaler | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU price | Often half the hyperscaler rate for the same GPU, and lower again on reserved terms | Higher on-demand rates; discounts mostly through large committed-spend agreements |
| Newest GPUs | Frequently first with new NVIDIA generations such as Blackwell | Broad availability, sometimes later and with quotas |
| Built for | GPU clusters with high-speed interconnect, tuned for training and inference | Every workload: databases, storage, networking, managed services, and GPUs among them |
| Terms | Negotiable by the server, cluster, term and start date | Mostly standard pricing, with enterprise agreements for large spend |
| Ecosystem | Focused: compute, storage and networking for AI | Deep integration with the rest of your cloud estate |
| Variation between providers | Wide: availability, cluster size, support and terms differ a lot | Narrow: the big three behave similarly |
Neocloud Providers Compared
The neocloud providers below are the ones most buyers compare in 2026. Research firm SemiAnalysis groups the market into tiers: the hyperscalers, a handful of neocloud giants, a wide field of emerging neoclouds, and brokers and marketplaces at the spot end. The right one depends on the GPU, the size of the deployment, the term and the date.
| Provider | Known for | Notable |
|---|---|---|
| CoreWeave | The largest independent GPU cloud, serving AI labs and hyperscalers with large clusters | $2.58 billion revenue in Q2 2026, up 112 percent |

How to Choose a Neocloud Provider
Confirm the GPUs exist on your date
For the newest GPUs, only a minority of listings are confirmed in stock. Ask for the start date in writing, not a waitlist position.
Match the cluster to the workload
Training needs high-speed interconnect such as InfiniBand between servers; inference often does not. Paying for a training fabric you do not use is common.
Price the whole bill
Storage, data transfer out, support tiers and idle reserved capacity can change the answer. Compare total monthly cost at your expected utilization, not the hourly rate.
Read the commitment terms
Reserved discounts come with minimum terms and payment schedules. Check what happens if you need to scale down, move GPU generations or leave early.
Check support, location and compliance
Who answers at 3 a.m., where the data sits, and which certifications the provider holds for your workload.
Quote several at once
Neocloud rates for the same GPU vary by more than double. The same requirement sent to several providers at the same time is what finds the real market price.
One server or a thousand GPUs, on demand or reserved: we take the requirement to the neoclouds that can deliver it, compare the full bill and terms, and negotiate before you sign. The provider you choose pays us, so it costs you nothing.
Who Rents From Neoclouds
AI companies training models
Reserved clusters of H100, H200 or Blackwell GPUs with high-speed interconnect, usually on reserved terms of months to years. See GPU cluster rental.
Inference at scale
Serving models in production, where cost per token and reliable capacity matter more than interconnect. The H200 is a common choice for its memory.
Enterprises adding AI
Teams that run the rest of their stack on a hyperscaler but rent GPUs from a neocloud for price or availability, often connected privately. See hybrid cloud.
Startups and researchers
One to a few GPUs on demand or by the month, to experiment before committing. See GPU rental.
Building a Neocloud? The Data Center Capacity Behind It
Most neoclouds run on data center capacity they lease rather than own, and finding megawatts that can host dense GPU racks on a near-term date is now the hardest part of the business. Primary-market vacancy is at a record 1.4 percent, most new capacity is preleased before it is finished, and many halls marketed for AI cannot support rack-scale liquid-cooled systems on the date you need. Neoclouds and GPU cloud providers that are expanding need the same thing any large tenant needs: the facilities that can actually deliver the density, power and date, compared on terms.
Air-cooled GPU capacity
HGX-class servers at 35 to 70 kW per rack fit a wider set of existing halls, with rear-door heat exchangers or containment at the top of the range.
Liquid-cooled capacity
Rack-scale systems at 120 kW and up need direct-to-chip cooling delivered to the rack, which far fewer facilities can provide on a near-term date.
Wholesale and build to suit
Multi-megawatt requirements usually mean a prelease or a building developed for you. See wholesale colocation and build to suit.
Send the requirement: MW, density, cooling, regions and date. You'll hear back within 24 hours. We take it to the operators across North America and beyond that can deliver it, and check that each date is real before you sign. We took a multi-megawatt GPU requirement to more than ten operators this year, so we know what operators can deliver right now. The operator you choose pays us.
How We Help
We are an independent broker. For GPU renters, we take your requirement to the neoclouds that fit, compare the full bill and terms, and negotiate before you sign. For neoclouds and GPU providers, we find data center capacity through AI and GPU colocation. Either way, the provider or operator you choose pays us from its channel budget, so it costs you nothing and your rate is not marked up. How a data center broker works.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a neocloud?
A cloud provider built specifically to rent GPU compute for AI training and inference, rather than the broad range of services a hyperscaler like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud sells. CoreWeave, Nebius, Lambda and Crusoe are the largest.
What are the main neocloud providers?
The largest are CoreWeave, Nebius, Lambda and Crusoe, followed by emerging GPU clouds including Nscale, Together AI, Fluidstack and Vultr, plus bare metal GPU providers that rent dedicated servers by the month.
How big is the neocloud market?
Neocloud revenue passed $25 billion in 2025. Synergy Research forecasts about $180 billion by 2030 and close to $400 billion by 2031, growth of roughly 58 percent a year.
Are neoclouds cheaper than AWS or Azure?
Usually, for GPUs. An H100 rents for a median of about $3.25 an hour on specialist clouds and roughly double at a hyperscaler; a B200 runs $6 to $7 at specialist clouds against $14 to $16 at the hyperscalers.
What is the difference between a neocloud and a hyperscaler?
A neocloud focuses on GPU compute for AI, with lower prices, earlier access to new GPUs and negotiable terms. A hyperscaler sells every kind of cloud service, with deep integration across them but higher GPU rates.
How do I choose a neocloud provider?
Confirm the GPUs exist on your date, match the cluster and interconnect to the workload, price the whole bill including storage and data transfer, read the commitment terms, check support and compliance, and quote several providers at once.
Can I rent a single GPU server from a neocloud?
Yes. Many neoclouds and bare metal providers rent single servers on demand or by the month, and some start at one GPU. Larger clusters are usually reserved on a term.
How much cheaper is a reserved neocloud contract?
Reserved terms typically cut a quarter to nearly half off on-demand rates, depending on the GPU, the term and the size of the commitment. Multi-year Blackwell reservations have been quoted far below on-demand.
Is CoreWeave a neocloud?
Yes. CoreWeave is the largest independent neocloud, reporting $2.58 billion of revenue in the second quarter of 2026, up 112 percent from a year earlier.
Where do neoclouds get their data center capacity?
Mostly by leasing it from colocation operators and developers, and increasingly through campuses built for them. Dense GPU capacity on a near-term date is scarce, with primary-market vacancy at a record 1.4 percent.
Does using a broker cost more when renting GPUs?
No. The provider pays the broker from its channel budget, and your rate is not marked up. What changes is that several providers compete for your requirement at once.
