DataBank data centers number more than 70 in nearly 30 U.S. markets, plus the United Kingdom, run by a Dallas-based operator that provides colocation, interconnection, cloud and managed services. Its strength is breadth across secondary and mid-size metros, the cities the largest operators serve thinly, alongside space in major carrier hotels such as 60 Hudson Street, 111 8th Avenue and 165 Halsey Street. Much of the footprint came through acquisitions: C7 Data Centers in Utah, Zayo's zColo data centers in 2020 and CyrusOne's Houston campus in 2022. Today DataBank is also building large AI-ready campuses, led by Red Oak south of Dallas, and it raised $4.7 billion in financing in the 12 months to April 2026. For a buyer, the questions are which DataBank building fits the requirement, and how it compares with the alternatives in the same market.

DataBank Houston: The Westway Park Campus

DataBank became the largest independent data center provider in Houston in 2022, when it bought four Houston-area data centers from CyrusOne for $670 million. The heart of it is the Westway Park campus off Beltway 8 in the Energy Corridor, including HOU2 at 5170 Westway Park Boulevard, built as the largest seismic exploration computing campus in the oil and gas industry. That history makes it one of Houston's better options for high-density computing, with more than 30 fiber networks and on-ramps to AWS and Google Cloud. See Houston colocation for the rest of the market.

DataBank Dallas: Downtown, the Infomart and Red Oak

Dallas is DataBank's home market, with DataBank data centers across Dallas, TX and its suburbs. DFW1 sits at 400 South Akard Street downtown, the same address as the company's headquarters, with DFW2 in Richardson, DFW3 in Plano and DFW5 inside the Infomart, Dallas's main carrier building. These are the facilities that serve retail and mid-size deployments.

The DataBank Red Oak campus is a different kind of project: eight two-story buildings and 480 MW planned on Stainback Road, about 24 miles south of downtown Dallas. DataBank closed a $2 billion construction loan in April 2026 for the first three buildings, which are fully leased (600,000 square feet and 180 MW), and upsized it by $650 million in June 2026 to add a fourth building of 60 MW. For most buyers, Red Oak signals DataBank's scale rather than available space; Dallas requirements usually land in the metro facilities. See Dallas colocation.

DataBank Atlanta and ATL4

DataBank runs four Atlanta facilities: ATL1, ATL2 at 1100 White Street in the West End, ATL3, and ATL4 at 200 Selig Drive, a single-tenant data center less than 30 minutes from downtown. ATL4 is built for one customer, so buyers looking for shared colocation in Atlanta are usually pointed to ATL1 to ATL3. DataBank is also building a larger campus in Lithia Springs, west of the city. See Atlanta colocation.

DataBank Phoenix: PHX1 at 3110 North Central

PHX1 is DataBank's downtown Phoenix data center at 3110 North Central Avenue, with PHX2 as a second Phoenix site. Phoenix is one of the tightest markets in the country, so a downtown building with existing space can matter more than a lower rate at a campus delivering next year. See Phoenix colocation.

DataBank New York and New Jersey: LGA3, 165 Halsey and Manhattan

LGA3 anchors DataBank's Orangeburg campus at 2000 Corporate Drive in Rockland County, about 30 miles north of Manhattan, on the site of a former Verizon data center. It opened in 2025 with 20 MW of critical IT load across 110,000 square feet of raised floor in five data halls, supports 35 kW per rack air-cooled and 100 kW liquid-cooled, and counts CoreWeave among its customers. DataBank reported it nearly fully leased at opening; the second building, LGA4, is the next source of capacity on the campus.

EWR1 is DataBank's space at 165 Halsey Street in downtown Newark, one of the New York metro's main carrier hotels and among the largest in the world, with Equinix NY1 in the same building. DataBank's suite, which came with the zColo acquisition, offers about 90 on-site carriers, 34,360 square feet of raised floor and 2N power, making it an interconnection site rather than a high-density one. DataBank also operates EWR2 in Piscataway, New Jersey, and space at 60 Hudson Street and 111 8th Avenue in Manhattan. See the New York metro data center guide and Manhattan data centers.

Where DataBank Has New Capacity Coming

For most buyers the useful question is not how many DataBank buildings exist, but which ones will have space on your date. These are the main additions in the pipeline.

LGA4, Orangeburg, NY

The second building on the Orangeburg campus, following LGA3, which was nearly fully leased at opening. The next source of high-density space north of Manhattan.

LAX2, Vernon, CA

A new Los Angeles facility with about 140,000 square feet of raised floor, phased from 6 MW in December 2026 through September 2027. See Los Angeles colocation.

Red Oak, Dallas

Eight buildings and 480 MW planned. The first three are fully leased; later buildings are where large requirements may find room.

Lithia Springs and Culpeper

New campuses planned west of Atlanta and in Culpeper, Virginia, aimed mainly at large deployments.

From DataBank announcements and public facility listings, October 2026. Timing and availability change quickly; we confirm both for your requirement.

AI and High-Density Capacity at DataBank

DataBank's high-density options fall into two groups. Purpose-built sites such as LGA3 in Orangeburg support liquid-cooled racks of up to 100 kW, while its large new campuses, Red Oak above all, are being built for AI and cloud tenants at hyperscale. Many of its older metro facilities were designed for enterprise densities and suit air-cooled GPU servers better than rack-scale systems.

Owning your GPU servers

Air-cooled GPU servers at 35 to 70 kW per rack fit a number of DataBank halls. Rack-scale systems such as GB300 NVL72 draw 140 to 160 kW, above even LGA3's 100 kW liquid-cooled spec, so they need a hall built for that density. See AI and GPU colocation.

Renting GPUs instead

For workloads still being proven, rented GPU servers or clusters are live in days, not months. See GPU rental and GPU cluster rental.

Multi-megawatt capacity

DataBank's new campuses are largely pre-leased to large tenants. For multi-megawatt requirements, the search spans every operator with power on your date. See wholesale colocation.

DataBank Colocation Pricing and How to Buy

DataBank does not publish prices. Like most operators it quotes per kW of committed power, usually with space bundled in, plus cross-connects, remote hands and setup. The rate depends on the market, the building, density, term and size. For reference, primary North American markets averaged about $196 per kW per month for 250 to 500 kW at the end of 2025, according to CBRE, and the mid-size markets where DataBank is strongest often price below that. See the colocation pricing guide.
