Price My Florida RequirementSearches for Florida colocation and colocation in Tampa come from valuable buyers; advertisers pay up to about $21 a click. Most are Florida companies moving out of in-house server rooms, businesses that need a recovery site away from the coast or out of state, and networks connecting to Latin America through Jacksonville or Miami. This page covers Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Lakeland, the partners in each, hurricane planning, Florida’s data center rules and how to get space at the right rate. For Miami, see our Miami colocation guide. If another market fits your requirement better, we will say so.

Jacksonville Data Centers and 421 West Church Street
421 West Church Street in downtown Jacksonville is North Florida’s carrier hotel, home to the region’s largest concentration of internet and telecom companies. The building, owned by SBA Edge as the JAX NAP, hosts landing points for three subsea cable systems, AMX-1, PCCS and SAPL, which give direct fiber routes to Central and South America without passing through Miami. Cologix Jacksonville runs the meet-me room and its JAX1 data center there, with 30+ networks. Its JAX2 at 4800 Spring Park Road is a 125,000-square-foot, hurricane-rated enterprise and disaster recovery facility with access to 40+ carriers over a dark fiber ring back to 421 West Church. Cologix gained both through its 2014 purchase of Colo5. Flexential and TierPoint also run Jacksonville data centers. See Cologix data centers and data center connectivity.

Tampa and Orlando Data Centers
Tampa data centers
Tampa is the largest market on Florida’s Gulf Coast, with about 21 facilities, often used as a primary site for central Florida companies or a recovery site for Miami. Flexential runs TPA03 at 8350 Park Edge Drive. For buyers searching colocation in Tampa, the main questions are power density, hurricane design and how far the building sits from the coast.
Orlando data centers
Orlando has about 12 facilities serving central Florida, with less storm surge exposure than the coasts. CoreSite Orlando is our partner’s presence there; see CoreSite data centers. Between Tampa and Orlando, Cologix Lakeland runs LAK1 at 2850 Interstate Drive, part of about 100,000 square feet of Cologix space in Lakeland.

Florida Data Center Rules: Taxes and Power
| Current rule | |
|---|---|
| Sales tax exemption | Covers equipment, building materials, infrastructure and electricity for qualifying data centers with at least $150 million in cumulative investment |
| 100 MW threshold | Since August 1, 2025 (HB 7031), only data centers with 100 MW or more of critical IT load qualify, up from 15 MW, which rules out most Florida colocation buildings |
| Large load law | SB 484, effective July 1, 2026, sets rules for projects using 50 MW or more at one site and requires utility tariffs that make those customers bear their full cost of service; utilities file the tariffs by October 1, 2026 |
| FPL large load tariff | Applies to 50 MW or more of new or incremental load at an 85% load factor |
| Local deals | Cities negotiate their own packages, such as Fort Meade’s approval in April 2026 of a 10-year tax break worth up to $150 million for a data center project |

What matters for a colocation tenant: the sales tax exemption now reaches only the largest campuses, so most colocation buyers in Florida pay sales tax on equipment as usual, and the new power rules apply to developers and hyperscale users, not to cabinets and suites. See data center cost.
Send the GPU model or megawatts, power per rack, location and date. You'll hear back within 24 hours. The provider you choose pays us, so it costs you nothing.
Florida Colocation Pricing
Florida pricing depends on the market and on how much storm protection you need. Space inside 421 West Church Street carries a premium for its networks and subsea routes, while hurricane-rated enterprise buildings and inland sites like Lakeland and Orlando price on power, density and resilience. Power per cabinet, term and cross-connects decide the rest. Providers do not publish list prices. Compare what you are offered with the ranges on our colocation pricing guide, and for a megawatt or more see wholesale colocation and the terms that matter in a data center lease.

Does Florida have a data center sales tax exemption?
Yes, but since August 1, 2025, only data centers with 100 MW or more of critical IT load and at least $150 million in investment qualify, up from 15 MW, which rules out most colocation buildings.
What is Florida’s new data center power law?
SB 484, effective July 1, 2026, sets rules for sites using 50 MW or more and requires utility tariffs that make those customers pay their full cost of service, so the costs are not shifted to other ratepayers.

Providers do not publish prices. Pricing depends on the building, power per cabinet, term, cross-connects and hurricane design. Our colocation pricing guide has current market ranges.
Can I get AI or high-density colocation in Florida?
High-density space is limited in Florida today, so larger AI requirements often look at Atlanta or Texas. We confirm which Florida buildings can take your rack density on your date.

No. The provider you choose pays us from its channel budget, and your rate is not marked up. You'll hear back within 24 hours.
